E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

BMW 135i SCCA Autocross class?

Is the 135i in D-Stock (or D-street) for 2014? How would the 135i compare to a 2012 MINI Cooper JCW Hardtop for an autocross car if its in the same class? My MINI has the JCW sport suspension. Last year I took the overall win for our region and I would like to be as competitive next year, if not more competitive. I also am planning on making the trip out to nationals in Lincoln next year and was wondering if the 135i would be a better car than the MINI.

What about learning to drive a rear wheel drive car vs the front wheel drive MINI? I will be doing another EVO school this year again so professional instruction will be a huge help with the transition.

I would be surprised if the two cars are in the same class.
A turbo 6 with RWD vs. a turbo 4 with FWD doesn't seem like much of a competition.

That being said, I still love my JCW R53. With a few bolt on suspension parts it will eat up the twisties unlike anything else.

It turns out hte 135i is in D-stock. I would assume it will be the same for 2014 but won't know for sure until the final 2014 rules come out.

Even the 135is is classed in d-stock.
