Red face bmw 2002 v8 conversion

I am right in the middle of a v8 swap into a 1976 bmw 2002. I am using a sbc 383 with about 375 hp and 400 ft lbs of torque. Plan on using a t-5 transmission. I have a bunch of question but my first question is what BMW will swap in that can handle that type of torque? I also would like a locking differental. Can the current diff handle the added power and if so can it be made into a locking differential. Also has anyone else done this v8 swap?

Thanks
Bill
