Correct you are! F02 is the designation for the LWB 7 Series.

You said you bought the car new with the picture attached in your post showing an Alpina emblem on the trunk. Did the dealer put that on the trunk? What's going on here?

I better get back to the "pls delete" thread.... Wait then I have to put up with Keepitrill insanity there

I know that here in the UAE and Qatar they sell Mercs with the AMG kit AND the badge as well from the dealer. Its kinda wierd and I was confused for awhile why a S350 said AMG on the back when its supposed to say S63. So maybe they do BMW's the same way?

That's interesting. Perhaps emblem and brand are much more important to status there and, for purposes of marketing and sales, dealers slap on marque emblems because they know what sells and it's accepted business practice. I would suppose that one really does have to look under the hood there to be certain about what they are purchasing.

The emblem and brand is THE MOST IMPORTANT there for the majority.I get no where when I try to talk them out of the Mercedes or Range rover brand .They say I grew up admiring the Benz and I wont settle for anything less. I feel like saying ,you are settling if you only want to buy a Merc/RR.

I guess that mentality is Universal in varying degrees.

P.S: Before anyone flames me ,I am from India. So I guess I am allowed to talk this way.

Well at the end of the day, its his car, he can do whatever he wants with it.Everyone wants their cars to look better, nothing wrong or blasphemous in it.I wouldn't do it but I wont mind if someone does it either. It doesn't make my ride any less enjoyable to me.Nice looking wheels though.

This is how we roll in SWA (South West Asia) Qatar, which most people think is in the middle east.
Simple but elegant. WITH the tint
