Mein Auto:
Question on standard maintenance

I have a 2008 335i 4-door w/ $50k miles. This is the first car I have actually invested in and I want to make sure I am doing everything possible to maintain. I have never had a BMW before, so I was hoping I could get suggestions on standard maintenance I should be doing on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis to keep my car in top shape. I don't do anything special with my car, and actually work from home so do not drive often.

Any suggestions to make my car maintain top value as long as possible?

Thanks in advance.

Google Mike Miller BMW for a maintenance schedule.

Google Mike Miller BMW for a maintenance schedule.
There is a history of maintenance procedure and suggestions
in his document .
The basic thing is lifetime fluids are not lifetime .
Change your oil at 7500 to 10k at most Intervals or once a year.
If you have the turbo and you want to maintain it long term let it
warm up before you abuse it and cool down as well.
You will need to have the Intakes valves cleaned on the turbo at about
60k intervals.
Unfortunately value is not usually added if you take care of your car but it
can be subtracted if you don't .
If you leave the car sitting for long periods or don't drive it far you may
need a battery tender as it uses electricity even when its doing nothing.
On the 335 the plugs are suppose to be changed every 45k do you have service
records that verify this?

Do not believe the lifetime fluids (trans, rear end, etc.) BS from the manual. Buy a Bentley Manual and learn how to change your own oil, and other fluids. Water pumps and thermostats are a service item also, somewhere before 100K miles.

I just sold my 1995 525 with 166K miles. Only issues were 2 radiatior failures (80K & 140K) and water pump. (60K).

Whelp, you're almost due for what no BMW salesman will mention before a 335i is sold: WALNUT SHELL BLAST

Yessir! Rejuvenating, you will love again..... Now then. When was last alignment? Plug change? Oil change? Suspension check?

When you're ready to move up to M3 handling, send up a flag!
