Question on Exhaust performance for my 335I

I have a 2010 335I coupe. I've noticed that when I start my car during the cold weather, there's exhaust coming from the right exhaust pipe only but after about 2 minutes the left exhaust kicks in. Is that normal or could this be a problem?

Normal. Flap in exhaust that helps warmup. Search for "golf tee mod".

Thank you!

Thank you! I was hoping it was normal but wasn't sure.

marshmello, I see you have 7 posts as I write. Let me tell you, by the time you have 14 or more, you will have discovered that many inquires have been thoroughly discussed and answered right here in this forum over the past 8 years!

The trick is to find the answer to your question. Of course you would be aware of the SEARCH function, and what it does, but have you entered the right criteria? Here's a tip: Click on ADVANCED SEARCH to narrow things down. With but a little practice, a surprising amount of useful info about your ride can be had.

I've found that pretty wonderful myself, and can say that, given that there exist numerous BMW sites, GOOGLE might be preferred to individual site searches.

Good Luck!
