looking for a DIY for water pump change on my 08 328i

That doesn't look like the electrical pump at all.

There is no belt drive on the electric water pump.
The one they are showing is for and e46 or earlier model that is
belt driven.

CTUNA is right. This is the one you want: http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/tech...eplacement.htm

The other is for earlier motors.

This will help too.

Definetly a DIY that will save you a ton of $$$$.

As long as it's not a X drive the water pump and thermostat is a piece of cake. Just a bit messy.

Parts from getbmwparts.com would have been $475 with free shipping. The are an Internet parts operation of BMW of Silver Spring. They sell it as a kit. Pump, Thermostat and mounting bolts. Add $20 for a gallon of BMW Antifreeze. You could have saved over $120.
