Anyone clean out the carbon deposits in your engine etc.?

Saw an episode of Wheeler Dealers last night and they used a fancy ass machine to do it. I googled the process and saw some threads on other sites where they used BR 44 in their gas tanks.

Anyone done this or even think it's necessary?

Mine was done at the dealer last year this time. It was covered under factory. Shifting related issues and slight subtle shudder at idle.

ah. ordered chevron techron since that's what was recommended by others on the site and BMW apparently. Also ordered Red something or other. We'll see if I can tell any difference.

If you are experiencing rough idle, try ethanol free gas, if there a pump nearby...

BG44K seems to work the best, just before each oil change, put a can of it in half a tank, and run her hard after the engine is warmed up.

Cheers.

On my N63tu I have been running a bottle of Techron 17 gallon every 2K miles. To my surprise, when I purchased the car the service tech recommended the Techron.

So far so good, never have and hopefully will never get the dreaded Drivetrain Malfunction warning or a rough idle. Car runs tremendous after 11,300 miles.

They did a full walnut blasting on my engine. Covered under warranty.

The invoice actually listed "crushed walnut shells" as a line item ordered... haha
