Haven't driven it. Sat in it, looked at it extensively at the Detroit and Chicago auto shows. I am in love!!! Every driving review I've read has been glowing.

There was one very mixed review, Road and Track I think.

I was looking forward to the 4 series until I got a good look at it. Then I began looking at the M235i, but it was already too late because I had just purchased my 335is. I may have a look again in a few years.

According to this reviewer BMW have fixed the electric steering issues as well. A 228 manual would make even a lighter and less expensive alternative as well....http://www.caradvice.com.au/267645/bmw-m235i-review/

From what I've read the 228i will not have the steering goodies from the m235i.
As far as reviews are going, there was one wash up review that counted 16 ///M badges on a non-M car.
My lease is up this fall, what should I get next?
Bemo, BMW of Manhattan sent me an email they still have 2 2013 E93 M3's in stock

The M235 really looks like one sweet little ride for sure. At least it isn't a damn 4-banger.

No goofy headlamps like the F Series which is definitely a step in the right direction.

All of you should hold out for the M2 and when it's available, organize a group buy!

I'm giving serious thought to an 235M as my next car. I just can't warm up to the 4 series. N4S

Yeah, first thing I noticed was the blue M5 in the back. Wondered why they blocked the view of it with the 2.

On a side note, I was playing with the pricing of the 2 last night. The M235 with a premium package is only a few thousand more than a 228 with Msport, lighting, and premium. That's some good incentive to go with the 3 liter instead.

Also cool: oyster leatherette!

You my friend are nothing but trouble! I'm fighting with the M demons, on a daily basis and you're not helping! My goal is to finish paying the 328 next year, then look for a low mileage CPO. The 328 will become the winter DD and the M will be the summer car.

Way to keep the eye on the prize...That M5 is brand spanking new and a 2013 marked down to 88k, I love that freakin thing

The 2 series is just too stubby looking for my tastes. The proportions look wrong. It's like they cut out a foot from only the length and left the other dimensions alone. It gives it a "dwarf" like appearance, big head and torso but small arms and legs. (No offense to any "little people" reading this.)

Also, it only weighs like 200 lbs less than a 4 series coupe so what's the point?

Another foot on the back length would help although still believe it's an upgrade looks wise over the 1...By the way i'm 4'10

The shorter length makes it more fun to drive.

Yep, she is kind'a the opposite of a 2 series, very curvy and smaller in the middle than on the ends.
