Car shaking

I have 60,000 miles on my car. I was driving on the freeway and came to the exit. When i stopped towards the exit ramp, my car started shaking and then the engine light came on.

What could cause this.

Change the plugs also while you're at it and also inspect the plug wells and valve cover gasket, for oil leaks.

Before I started randomly replacing parts, I would get the codes read.

Also a good visual check and fluid level check should be done.

Speaking of which, what is a good brand to buy? I emailed BT and was told that my 2011 E90 is not supported. Forum member fdriller suggested bmwcoding.com but reading about INPA is like rocket science to me...

I'll make the initial trade off of buying something user friendly in exchange for being able to scan/reset less components...

Just saw this they have both android and apple version.

Just saw this they have both android and apple version.

Doesn't look like much more than an elm with an app.

If you need to update software or do things like program in injector values
I think you need to go the Inpa ncsexpert route.

There was another program somebody had on here awhile back that allowed read
the BMW codes but there was no programming ability.

Yeah I found it

You need to buy your own cable though.

You don't really need to change the plugs.

I changed mine at 98k miles and the electrode looked fine.
