Another new member - Greetings- 3.0 X3

Just got my new X3 3.0 2 weeks ago and I'm thrilled with it!

3.0
Silver Grey Metallic
Panaroma Sunroof
Bi-Xenon
6 Speed Stick

Now I am looking for all the great stuff I can do with it. I ipreviously had 2002 325i and 1999 323i - So this is my first 3.0 - and I can say that it's FANTASTIC!

Looking forward to seeing what everyone here does with their rides - - anyone put 19's on yet- that may be first on the list next spring...

See you 'round - J

Awesome cars or SAV's as we'd like to call them! Sure, we've seen pics of X3's before, but it's cool seeing pictures of others' X3's. For some reason it's just better than other pics.

No Premium-- who needs that crap?

Sport, Cold Weather, (free) Automatic, Privacy Glass.

If we had ordered it, I would have pushed for Xenons. Otherwise, it's perfect. And, the deal was amazing, too.

Ahhh, but those are not the "stock" 2.5 rims- they SP rims- and very nice I might add!

It's the 17" rims that come with the 2.5 I was referring to...

Oh.... I thought you mean stock vs. sport wheels on the 3.0, not stock 2.5 vs. stock 3.0 wheels. Also, we don't get those wheels that you posted on any US model.

I am continually amazed at the large number of differences between US and Canadian models-

Check out BMW.ca and see how different the config of the cars are - Little things like standard Xenon lights, panaroma roof, and different wheel styles - BMW Canada must have to continually justify the fact that the prices for US vs. Canadian vehicles are nowhere close to what the exchange rates are! Interesting.... US MSRP for X3 3.0 w/ metallic paint= $37,470 Canadian Price = $52,500 Hmmmm, interesting 1.4 while exchage rates have gone from 1.65 to 1.23 in the last year. I guess you gotta hold your gound.

Can' t wait for the snow to start! Then in April I'll look into buying some 19's

I've always been fascinated by the difference between what you get in a US or Canadian car. It used to be that people here would ask how to go about buying a Canadian spec car and importing it to get more car for their money. Looks the the opposite is starting to occur.

How does a 2005 price out in Canada? The 2005 X3 3.0 now includes a standard moonroof and wood trim and no charge automatic transmission, dropping the price even more over a comparable 2004.

Regarding the wheels, I like the 18s on the car alot, but I have considered what 19s would look like from time to time. Even then, I don't want them that much that I'd go and spend the money.

Nice X3.

You've already opened the hood. That's more than i can say. And i'm almost ready for my 7500 oil change (not dealer provided, therefore not done at dealer).
