We came to agreement with insurance company that they pay me close to what I want and give me my wheels with two months old tires if I put any stock wheels instead. Anyone wants to get rid of old wheels and tires? They do not need to be in good shape as long as I can put them on my car they are ok. I am not asking for free, but don't want to buy expensive ones.

Another possibility is if you are from Texas or Oklahoma and want to swap your to MSport wheels (they are on the photo below) we could make a deal and replace them in Abilene.

Glad you came to a reasonable settlement. I'm with some of the other people who have posted here. If you can find a lease rate close to 1% or so, it is better to lease a car. All of these hassles are covered by BMWs gap insurance. If your car had not been a write off, you would have taken a huge hit after repair in terms of "diminished value" which most insurance companies pretend they haven't heard of. That loss ultimately comes out of your pocket.

I'm not looking to get into an accident, but I leased my car at invoice @.9% lease rate. After 39 months, I'll likely want the replacement for my current F10 (how many new car buyers really keep their BMWs for 5+ years anyway) so I can just turn it in and get a new one. My cost of ownership was no greater than for the person who purchased and now wants to trade his F10 for a new one. In addition, if I get into an accident like yours, I just take my personal effects out of the car, take a cab to the dealership and lease a new one, while BMW and the insurance company work things out.

Good luck.

Dude, are you seriously delaying the settlement because of wheels?

I am not delaying it. I already have an X5 in order and need to find out what the leasing option is.

I just want to get my wheels while I have access to my car.
