Tire time--which HP A/S to replace the stock SSRs

I've been putting this off for a year, but when the Blizzaks come off in a few weeks, it will be time to replace the OE Conti SSR on our '08'E90 with stock suspension.

Looking for mostly a quiet, smooth riding tire, that doesn't compromise the great handling of this car. Most of my miles are on interstates. Dry/Wet weather performance are critical but the ability to handle an early snow is also important.

the candidates are:

Mich. PS A/S3
BS 970 AS
Conti DWS

I've done a lot of research and it seems like the Mich. might be the favorite but for every 3 good reviews I see one that somebody hates it.

Would appreciate reviews of these tires on your E90--pros and cons--and alternatives if you think there are better tires out there.

thanks for any help in advance

I like Michelin... Have you checked the tire forum, and talked to the Tire Reck rep?

I ditched the runflats and went with AS3. Though I just got them on Friday so I can't make accurate judgement yet.

Thanks for the reply; I did check the tire forum and there was very little info on either tire and no direct comparisons. I thought this might be the better venue since the tire forum gets into the range of BMW models which may or may not reflect how they'll work on the E90.

Anyway, I'll check with a TR salesperson. both of these tires in the TR reviews run the gamit of good and bad, with the BS catching some pretty negtive reviews the last few months.
