There are many sources of these. Here are a few ideas:

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=871100

http://www.amazon.com/Spyder-Auto-3-.../dp/B004VSY3P0

http://www.marsperformance.com.au/Sm...Sedan-05-08-KS

http://www.schmiedmann.com/3_series/...tors/page2.htm

I have not personally tried any of these lights, since my car is an E90 LCI (2011 328i), and comes with the LED tail lights from the factory. I have switched my tail lights to the European lights (amber turn signals).

Be aware that you may get a "bulb out" warning, since your car did not originally come with the LED tail lights. Be sure any new tail lights are adapted to prevent this.

Oh really I didn't know that. Since my car didn't come with the led lights they should still be easy to install right? And is there any way to take out that warning light bulb out in the dash board? Can I see your led in your car?

Here is what I have, but these will not fit a 2008 model.

A reasonable imitation for your 2008 model may be something like this:

Again, I cannot vouch for the quality of these.

Alpinwei▀,
how do the amber turn signals look? Just wondering how amber they are since they have the red lens in front of the bulbs.

Thanks,
Dave

The outter LCI taillights are a direct bolt on to the pre-LCI models. With coding, they are error free and 100% functional.

The inners require you to retrofit the LCI trunk lid.

Check out MARS for OEM style LCI LED taillights that fit the pre-LCI models without modification or coding.

My tail lights are BMW factory lights, but they are European specification (not US-specification). Although my lights appear identical to the US-spec lights (all red), the rear turn signals flash amber. The amber color is regulated by European standards (DIN, T▄V, etc.).

I just went out into the garage and looked at my tail lights carefully. The lens over the turn signal portion of the tail light appears to be clear. The panel behind the lens is red, which makes the entire tail light appear to be red. The turn signal is a series of amber LED's, which have no color when they are not illuminated. Therefore, the "red" light appears to turn amber when the signal is flashing. It is an optical illusion. This is just based on my personal observation.

The Mars link in my post above shows the tail lights flashing amber, but it is a bit difficult to judge the color. The Mars lights are aftermarket, and I have no experience with them.
