Mein Auto: 2011 335xi M-Sport
First Time Owner - 335xi

Welp, a crazy lady that didn't know what a stop sign means put an end to my Altima, so I decided to join the club. Picked up this 2011 335xi with M-Sport package in Lemans Blue. Just a little over 40K miles, and has a CPO. Currently, I don't have to use it for daily commuting, so that's a plus.

Already got my radar detector in…future plans will probably include painted reflectors, black kidneys, and a JB4.

As an aside, if anyone is in the Atlanta area, you'll probably see me around Downtown, Midtown, or Buckhead.

Nice. Just like mine only I have silver. I love the Lemans blue.

FYI in 2011 it is now referred to 335i xdrive. There is no 335xi... although 335xi is certainly a lot easier to say and type. Not sure why BMW changed it, but they did.

This is the reason why the back of your car says 335i. The only Xdrive label is on the front behind the front tire.

Actually ... not quite true. "335i xDrive" (note capitalization) is the moniker the marketing department hung on it. The BMW internal model name is still "335xi" and you can find it designated as such in all manner of technical documentation, including the TIS manuals and the Vehicle Inquiry Report. (As to why they changed it, odds are it's an attempt to establish a well-recognized trademark to compete with "quattro" and "4Matic.")

Most telling, if you look at the VIN plate on the driver's door jamb you'll see the "xi" designation, not "xDrive."

Edit (shame on me): OP - Great colorway; congrats and welcome!

Congrats and welcome! Leman's Blue is my favorite color. I would have liked to get it for my car but couldn't quite swing the cost of the M sport package and the other goodies I wanted. Have fun!

Yeah, I know there are tons of documents referring to 335xi. It's just legacy. The owners manual is full of notes about "xi" models. I just think they didn't bother to update the documentation (ie. technical docs, door sticker etc). For all intents and purposes the "335xi" no longer exists. My State Farm insurance card even says 335XI. Again, more legacy stuff. If it was once that way, it will always be that way. ha

I work for a large technical company... if marketing doesn't recognize it, it doesn't exist. They always win

Very clean looking car. I love how it looks exactly how it is minus the XI ride height.
Congrats man, enjoy that thing.
