I always drove the F01 in "Sport". Unless I'm driving on the highway, where I use "Sport+", I also keep the Panamera in "Sport". Always "Sport+" for the 991C4...the exhaust note in that setting is pure entertainment!

I drive usually in comfort, go to sport for occasional overtaking a faster car or when trying to make a green light or at a steep ramp, etc or when interested in a sporty drive or when im in a hurry. Sport+ mode is used rarely in my everyday driving. However when I take to hills, the car remains mostly in Sport and Sport+, usually during the weekends.

I rarely go for eco.. probably only when I need to calm my wallet senses that my car still can give excellent mileage if need be

Another time I have started going to eco mode is on long drives on highways with no traffic at all... going to higher speeds is not a problem in any mode, its the acceleration and temperature control (in case of eco) that gets hit.

Is there really any difference between sport and sport+ other than the deactivation of the DSC? And if I'm driving in comfort or normal mode, if I flip the gearshift to the left, doens't that just put it in sport mode anyway without changing the mode via the switch on the center console?

In addition to what you already know, Sport+ holds the gear shifting points higher than in Sport mode so you will rev higher before going to next gear.

Yes, moving gear lever to left is another way to activate Sport mode.

I definitely sense the higher rev gear setting under Sport vs. Normal. Probably great in twisty roads, but I find it too much in slow city traffic. Comfort setting is definitely a softer ride but I am not sure if the gear setup is any different compare to Normal. For everyday driving, I have it set at Normal.

I leave it in Normal except when I need to accelerate such as getting on a highway. I believe the Comfort setting has no effect on engine performance and only softens the suspension.

I usually keep it in Comfort+ since traffic is so ridiculous out here that i may as well take it easy like an old man. The throttle is slowed down on Comfort+, so i usually slide the shifter over to DS if someone's being a dick and doesn't want to let me get in the next lane. On the highway I always use Sport+, at least until I get tired of burning all my gas and passing people - then I'll switch it back down to Comfort.

Comfort+ is my favorite. In combination with IAS it provides unbelievably smooth ride at higher speeds. Sport and sport+ when in the mood. I rarely use EcoPro.

I generally use "Sport"; however, I set it so the engine is in normal mode and the chassis is set in firmer sport mode. In full sport or sport+, I feel it actually holds gears too long, as torque dramatically drops off around 5500 RPM... lots of gas burning and engine spinning, not a lot of thrust. IMO BMW needs to do a better job aligning shift points to torque curve.

Generally in my area: Normal

Tollway: Sport (sense I drive so little, this allows me to open her up and get them revs up!)

In Dallas where the roads are sh1tty as frack: Comfort

Being lowered, I don't really see or have the need for Sport+

ECOpro only. I prefer the feeling that I am driving a prius with no power.
