Waterless car wash for spot cleaning?

I know there's been a bunch of discussion about this, but I have metallic black paint and am looking for something that's safe for spot cleaning my car in between full washes. Removing a bird spot, some pollen, water mark, etc.

It seemed that these products seemed to be best from what I read, so does any one have any experience with these or recommend something else?

Eco Touch

Optimum Opti Clean

I'd also heard good things about Optimum No Rinse wash, but that might be hard for me to use in my apartment's very tight parking area.

Also, I assume best way to apply any of these would be a good quality microfiber waffle towel? Anything else?

Spot Cleaning

For spot cleaning (and I do mean spot as in water spots or bird droppings), I keep a bottle of quick detailing spray in my trunk. For bird droppings, saturate the poop with the detailing spray then carefully loosen and wipe off with a microfiber cloth. You do have to be careful with this method to not scrape the droppings off as bird doo often contains sand and small stones which will scratch.

Unfortunately, pollen will blanket your car such that there is no such thing as spot cleaning it.

However, Optimum No Rinse with two buckets of water actually works pretty well and you don't need a lot of space to use it.

The detailing subforum has a ton of information about proper tools and techniques. Check it out!

It's all safe for your paint but HOW you wash the paint is what matters.

Light pressure and straight lines only.

Don't go in circular motions! That's the #1 cause of swirls in your paint.
