Mein Auto: 2009 335i
2009 3351 Tranny Upshift Jerk

I have a 2009 335i (automatic) and was wondering if anyone has had the same issue as me. There are times when i am slowing down, I get a hard jerk on my car as if it his having a hard time downshifting. Other times when I am driving and it wants to shift upwards, between second and third, feels like a big jerk as well.

Any help?

Had this in my Altima SeR. It is most likely solenoid related. They get gummed up with tranny material and cannot fully depressurize specific solenoids which should result in a smoother gear exchange. Check out "ROSTRA Transmissions' "solenoids"" and see if they have any for BMW. Sometimes it is a simple as removing the tranny pan, removing the large solenoids, and cleaning them out of old gummed up disc material and reinstalling.
