Holding air so that is a good sign. Getting it looked at this morning. Wish me luck. Throwing the oem wheel in the trunk just in case it will have to be sent out.

We run these ultra low profile tires and then we bitch when this happens? It's the price of admission.

Me personally? I'm enjoying the handling characteristics as I run the slalom course that has become most Dc pot holes roads.

Correct. In all the years I have been running low profile I have been lucky and for the first time I got burned on this massive hole. It is the price of admission and looks.

Sad. I had my rims straightened... my rims were damaged worse than yours. Yours will get fixed.

The financial side does suck though. Did I hear right recently that BMW wants something like 1600 a wheel?

I don't think those can be fixed. Ouch.

I'm hopeful and i to have seen worse so at minimum i have to run around with different wheel for shorts trips while they send it out for repair.

That sucks but everyone will get to hit one of these at some point. It is inevitable and it just depends when its going to happen and how bad. This is why i envy the west coast folks who can risk driving around in 8-10K wheels. We pay to play here on the east coast and just have to factor in rim/tire repair/replacement as part of a yearly maintenance when running plus size setups

It is a daily adventure in this area. It's only going to get worse when we go from a high of 70 today to the mid teens tomorrow night.

That looks like it shook your fillings loose when you hit it. Sorry dude.

Oh I only wish I lived in Florida or Cali but in the end spending some much money on wheels for daily driver car and commuting was risky. Luckily, I can say I got my monies worth and pray for the best. Still waiting for the update at the wheel place. Stay tuned.

Nova wheel repair is sending it out and will be back on the road. 230 plus alignment and balancing. So hopefully everything under 450.

Not to play a mine is bigger than yours game, but I was in Ann Arbor, MI a couple of weeks ago. I have never seen anything that resembled what the roads there are like. Some streets are almost impassable. I have to be back there in a couple of weeks and I am seriously thinking about renting a car.

And winter isn't over.

Sometimes I wonder what the government is doing with our gas tax and tolls, they should arent using it to fix the roads.

Thank goodness you don't have to travel to Metro Detroit, the roads are probably worse! Its like the roads are turning back into gravel roads.

You literally have to dodge the pot holes and some roads people are going 15mph on a 45mph as there is basically no road left and full of pot holes.

I'm happy I did get tire and wheel insurance thru BMW! I've been lucky so far with no tire or rim issues.

Better to have it and not need it...
