Why does rpm go up when turning wheels?

I have noticed that when turning into garage (right turn) and getting close to full turn the rpms increase and brake need to be monitored. It's not racing but it is clearly going up.
On my bike same happens but that is because of throttle cable stretching in sheeth.
I have not noticed this when turning left but also not been at standstill with wheels turned and then turning more, like getting into garage, need to test this still as well.

Anyone else noticed this?

Typically the PS pump will put load on the engine at full lock, giving rise to a slight RPM increase. I've noticed this happen on almost every car I've owned since 1977.
