More bottom

The sound system has been talked about before, but I wanted to ask something specific. I have a base "proffessional" radio with 4 speakers and a sub or subs under the front seats. I'm not so unhappy with the small speakers, the highs are good enough for me, but what I woud like is more bass...especially at lower volumes. Can I achieve this with different subs, of do I need diff subs and/or a more powerful amp?

Thanks!

BTW....I do have subs under my seats. There are grilles in the floor under each, so I'm assuming there are subs present....

If you have the base system, there are no subs under your front seats.

Look into the technic harness and a corner loaded trunk sub.

I've been seeing some available sub set ups while searching. All have been trunk installed, which I'm not sure how that would be. I mean I don't want to just feel a thump, but I wanna hear the bass as well...if that makes sense. After all a sub is a speaker too, isn't it? A sub moves air and you feel the concussion and if the sub is in the trunk, which is enclosed and separate from the cabin, wouldn't the sound and feeling be different than one mounted in the cabin? Maybe I'm just not that knowledgeable on this subject?

JL Audio makes some of the best subwoofer systems designed for specific car brands like BMW and for their different models like the 3 Series. Here's a link to get you started.

They may also have a system designed for under the front seats. You'll have to do some research. With their packages, you can get everything you will need to install the subwoofer system including the BMW connection interfaces and matching amp(s).

There are many solutions for all the systems.

There are many solutions for all the systems bmw makes.
If you want something a lot better read this

Just subs are not the solution to a terrible system .
That gives you a terrible system with subs.
The above link comes from a e9x only stereo sub forum
where many solutions are well documented.
In the base system there are some weakly powered 6.5
inch speakers under the seats to go along with the rest
of the weakly powered speakers in the rest of the car.
