Mein Auto: BMW Z4 2004 (E85)
Question HELP! Need to figure out my Nav system audio

Hi, I am the happy single owner of a 10 years old BMW Z4 SMG 2004 (E85). After 10 years and 105k miles, I am doing some restoration, so that hopefully it will keep hanging around for other 10 years. I really love this car!

The navigation system was bothering me for a while. The case of the screen broke years ago and even if I tried to use some super glue to keep it close it kept bouncing back and forward without never stay in position. I asked BMW for repair and they estimated $2.5k+$3.3 cost before taxes. I thought it was way too much, so I went on Ebay and found an empty salvage case (no display, no board) for 49 euros from Germany. It costed me $120 at the end, with shipment, and I just finished the repair.

I took off the vents, unscrewed the screen block, opened the case, removed board and display, replaced the broken plastic parts, reassembled, back in place. I turned the car on and... GREAT EVERYTHING WORKS! Navigation fine, radio fine, auxiliary input fine, setting menu and bluetooth screen fine, mp3 (connected to the CD changer port) fine, CD sound fine, but OPSS I CAN'T HEAR ANYMORE THE NAVIGATION GUIDANCE VOICE...

I know sometimes it is bothering, but I keep this car like an oracle and it bothers me more when I simply know that something is not perfect on it.

Can anyone help and provide guidance or advice? Of course I checked if accidentally I turned the navigation audio off, but clearly it is on. I also checked if accidentally I unplugged any wired from the back of the CID radio. It doesn't look like. I also rechecked all the display board connections and they all look right. Actually I am surprised that the display have anything to do with the Navigation Audio. Anyone has the schematics of the connections of this board?

I would appreciate any help.
Thank you.

Carlo M.
