Exclamation Help, Please: 2013 BMW 528i Fuse Number and Diagram for Interior Trunk Lights

Hello,

I know this sounds like a newbie question, (and maybe it is) but I've searched and searched for hours, and I work in the SEO world.

I do not have the fuse diagram card. (Will need to pick one up next time I am at BMW).
But from what I've seen, it still is difficult to understand.

None of the diagrams I have seen labeled mention the trunk lights specifically.

Can someone please tell me the fuse number and location for the interior trunk lights in a 2013 BMW 528i and make my day??

None of my other lights are out.

I really appreciate it!

Same problem

Same issue here - I blew the fuse putting in new LED's in the trunk. The BMW legend isn't helpful.

Thanks!

I have to agree that it's almost impossible to identify which fuse affects a device. I think this is because most devices are no longer wired directly, but are controlled through a buss structure that may have many associated fuses. Having said that, here's what I do. First I enlarged the card that's co-located with the trunk fuse box. That makes it readable. I've attached the one for my 2011 535 which may help for the 528. Second, I try to decipher what the symbols mean. Not an easy job, but by intuition and the process of elimination you may score a win. In your case I suspect the symbol that looks like a dome light is the one you want. Now you have to figure out which of the five fuses associated with that symbol is the correct one. The symbol is in the middle column, 13th row. I hope it works for you.

Thanks!

Much appreciated RadarGuy!

I was leaning that way myself - I tried the ones that were associated with the side view of a vehicle with the trunk open (I was hoping it would be the fuses that are more easily accessed from the trunk as opposed to way inside the glove box.....). But I'll give these a try and post the results.

Stay tuned!

Found it

I pulled each of the 5 fuses associated with the "downward light" icon - no good. And what a pain they were to get to...

I just happened to notice that a few those fuses were also associated with the icon kind of looks like a light (first column, 10 row on the image that RadarGuy uploaded). On a whim (and since it was easy to get to), I tried one that was in the trunk.

Bingo - #154 - 5 amp - replaced it and all is well.

Thanks!

I had the same problem on my 2012 528. Trying to put a led in and ended blowing the fuse.
Thanks for showing the diagram and fuse #
