1988 brake master cylinder

I would like to know what the difference is between a master cylinder for a car with abs brakes and a car without abs brakes. What makes the big difference in price?

Some design differences, I'm sure. Could be pressure or capacity or line diameter. Stick with the correct one unless you want to redesign your braking system and its effectiveness.

This is the part number:34311155270 and here is the fastest way to compare availabilty and pricing:http://www.furiousmethod.com/ Keep in mind that rebuilt units are also available at a much lower cost and you can also buy yourself a rebuilding kit for about $50 or so. Good luck.

And make sure you bench-bleed it before you install it, that will save you a major headache that lots of people encounter.
