New to me 2010 335D; question

Hi All

Just brought home a new to me 2010 335D w/ 28k miles. Clean carfax, great condition. Runs awesome and pulls hard. Got it for $25,600 out the door which I thought was a steal (after intense negotiations) from a Toyota dealer. I have about 5 months left on the factory warranty. Anything I should be looking for, common issues? How do I check the Urea levels?

I may get some new wheels as these are a bit conservative for my liking. Something more concave. Will check out the tire fitment thread soon.

You should post this on the diesel forums. They'll have way more insight. Good luck and welcome!

Urea level will tell you when its low, kicks on with 1000 miles left. Filling is pretty simple, lots of info on it. Check out the diesel section on here.

Lots of common issues, main one being carbon build up, seems to be hit or miss though. I have 54,000 on my 09, 21,000 of which I have put on it in the last 10 months. I love it!!

That's very low miles; I've got 78.5K on mine. If you read the diesel subforum, you'll notice lots of threads on the SCR/DEF system. It might very well pay off to purchase an extended warranty (~ $2500 if you shop around), as they have to replace the DEF tank to fix any of several problems, and it's a $1,000 or so item. Also look at the carbon build-up threads - I've not had problems, but some obviously have.

Yet another reason to give serious consideration to an extended warranty....
