Lightbulb What alloys look best on a e90

I just got a standard grey e90 2006 and I can't make up my mind on what alloys to get. I'm thinking either getting 18" cls alloys or 3sdm 0.01 ones. Any one got any better ideas because I'm not sure it's not lowered and I'm not lowering it and I don't want bigger than 18"s on it. Any ideas would be great thanks

I'm a big fan of BMW 313s. They should fit your e90 as I have them on my e92.

For oem, I like the 313s, 193m, and 189s.

For aftermarket, there are many choices.

Some examples:

Low tier...vmr 710, 718 etc. Alfugen sf-71 (loves these). OZ ultra leggera. Kosei makes a very light wheel if want to reduce unsprung weight.

Upper tier....ADV.1, HRE, D2 Forged, etc

I have 161s and I think they look great. They are, however, not "light" alloys as the brochure claims. They are quite heavy, esp with performance tires.

Michelin Super Pilots on 313's?

Hi,

Do you have non runflats on those 19 inch 313's? I am thinking about buying them for my 335i Convertible but am afraid I won't be able to put on Michelin Super Pilots to replace the run flats. I am afraid the Michelines will be thicker and rub against the fending inner linings.

Your thoughts and experience on the matter are much appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.

Tire Rack shows the Michelin Pilot Supersports as a replacement for the 19" runflats on my 335is with 313s. I'll be ordering them and a spare tire kit within the month.

For the OP, 18" 313s are also available.

Pease post pics when you get them mounted. I didn't think regular tires would fit my 335is with the 19" rims. My run-flats look like rubber bands as the sidewalls are so narrow.

Ordered the Michelin Pilot SuperSport tires and a donut spare kit today. Should be installed by the end of next week.

BTW, the tire size/cross-section/profile is exactly the same as the original equipment runflats, so they should look and fit exactly like the existing tires.

Why wouldn't they fit if they are the same size? Just because they are RFT doesn't mean they use some other sizing standard. There can be a slight variance among manufacturers, but we're talking a few millimeters at most.
