Engine start lags and switching gears lag

I have a 2011 bmw 335 is - dual clutch

So I have 2 separate things that are going on that I believe might be issues.

#1 = the engine lags at some point in the day to really fire up - usually the car will start normally , but at some point in the day the car seems to struggle to turn on... Idk if this is normal or not because I'm usually in n out of my car a lot and I'm always starting it and turning it off throughout the day

#2 the car is a beautiful machine and drives great, but sometimes when I go to manually switch gears with the dual clutch system, the car doesn't latch on to the next gear right away. Let's say I redline 1st gear and I click the paddle to switch to gear 2, the car jerks and doesn't catch on smooth sometimes... It happens here and there... I don't know if it has to do with the traction control.

If anyone can relate or have any thoughts please respond

For the shifting issues, sounds like your shifting too late. By doing this, you bounce off the rev limiter which causes the delay as the engine cuts power.

You should only really wind out 1st gear. After that, you'll want to shift a bit earlier for the optimal power range.

So 2nd shift at 6800, 3rd, 6700, 4th 6600....

You need to find which at which rpm your power drops off. It will be slightly different for every car.

Don't redline 1st gear... That might be causing your delay to shift into and catch 2nd. You can go close to redline but don't bounce off the rev limiter

Don't redline.

If you do, let the car shift for you.

Ok and what about the laggy engine startup? The car always turns on, but sometimes it seems to struggle to turn on... Is this a concern of any kind or should I just not worry about it?

Well that's the thing. There is no codes. The car always fires up nicely in the beginning of the day and more towards the end of the day the startup gets laggy

When I turn off traction control, my car doesn't cut power or lag on the gear switching. It runs pretty smooth. It might have just been the traction control this whole time.

But my car lags on the ignition startup every so often still.

It's real wrong....what, me codes? I'd do an independent eval w/GT1 or Bavarian Technic. Yes.
