Anyone with eye's-on experience with amber angel eyes?

I've read tons of posts in a few forums about LED angel eye upgrades and I definitely want to do it. I know everyone has their opinions and I've read the posts of the vendors.

I've decided on amber angel eyes for my Monaco Blue 335i. It's a matter of personal taste. I think amber lighting inside and outside goes well with the color of the car. Black gloss kidney grille and lower grilles will go along with this mod.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the currently available bulb options and perhaps any pictures of their cars.

From what I can see, these are the available options:

DTEC H8 V2 Amber: http://luxangeleyes.com/products/lux-h8-amber

and

LUX H8 Amber: http://www.e92angeleyes.com/index.ph...&product_id=14

Again, I'm not looking for vendor feedback. I'll like to know what people's experience has been specifically with amber angel eye upgrades.

Thanks!

I think they would look great. It would look like the stock lights but only brighter and cleaner

Yeah. It's weird how dull the OEM lights are.

The inherent design of the pre-lci angel eyes is why they are so difficult to light (brightly).
The diagram below shows the light path.

If they are H8s, I went with the HOEN bulbs at 2700k.

That's an approach I didn't think of. I like the way they look. They easily beat the OEM look. Still, I think I want to go with the darker amber.

Darker would look nice, in the daytime these are more yellow, they are really fogs, so they are DOT compliant. In the early morning/evening, they are darker and really stand out nice. I'm sure they are far cheaper, I think I paid $40 U.S.

Before I choose one and place my order, I thought I'd try one more time to get more input on Amber Angel Eyes.

Anybody have hands-on experience with the DTEC H8 V2 Amber or the LUX H8 Amber?

DTEC is most likely a rebranded Chinese made LED bulb. If you search eBay, you will find similar designs.

LUX is a US designed product. They were one of the first to come out with plug and play LED angel eye bulbs and probably the first to come out with an amber set.

You really can't go wrong with either

DTEC is actually AngelHue, a Chinese brand
