E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

Smile My new 1988 325 "Super Eta"

Just bought this beauty on friday and I am crazy about it already. It's without a doubt the cleanest E30 I have ever seen.
Garage kept, never used for commuting to work, one owner since new. It has a cracked dash and a little wear on the seats because the owner's husband had muscular dystrophy and would wiggle himself in and out of the passenger side, besides that everything inside the car is near showroom condition. Exterior has door dings but the paint is excellent, no rust anywhere on anything.

I have never been so pumped to drive an automatic!

Comments or ideas on anything I should do with it?

I'm thinking I need to keep it bone-stock original because it's just so uncommonly original to begin with. That said it is a Super Eta, the potential to do some under the hood tweaking is so good. I plan on doing the timing belt and water pump, still undecided on valve springs and lifters. If it do springs and lifters I am super tempted to put an "i" cam in it...

Cloth seats??? I thought the only options were vinyl and leather.

Nice car. How any miles on the OD? How many miles and months since the timing belt+tensioner pulley were changed?

103000 miles, just 20k of which were done since 2003. No idea when the timing belt was last done but I know it has sat for at least two years since it was last regularly driven so I will definitely be doing it asap. It's scary to think that the timing belt may be original but the bolts on the cover look untouched.

I wish I had cloth seats. If you're thinking of going the i cam route why not do the full i head?

Great find, if it was mine is probably leave it as-is but I'm cheap.
