X6 E71 / E72 (2008 - 2014)
The BMW X6 luxury crossover went on sale in April 2008 as a 2009 model year. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The E71 X6 was built off the E70 X5 (2007 - 2013) platform at BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Total worldwide sales were just over 235,000, sold mostly to the BRIC countries. US total sales was 34,082 vehicles.

Coding is very easy

You just need an OBD to plug it and go for coding regarding application you like to use
There are iPhone app such as Bmwhat . And there are plenty of coding devices as well .

I got mine coded by triple 3 and have had zero negative experience. Really happy I did it too, the car now functions without the minor annoyances that you may have grown to hate like I did!

It's not that hard!
You need to buy an INPA cable (the cheapest solution) and install a few apps (BMW Standard Tools: for coding you will need NCSExpert). Then there are many guides on how to do it by yourself.

If you have any questions - feel free to ask me.

I've got the iVini iphone/android app + their bluetooth OBD adapter called BMWhat, is very easy to use, and can code most things (digital speedo, etc).

Just make sure both the device and the car have plenty of battery. You don't want either to run out whilst coding! Also, I personally put my device into Airplane mode (and then bluetooth ON) before doing anything- I don't want someone to ring me whilst I'm coding! But other than that, its pretty straightforward and easy to use.
