Broken Front Lip

Hi Everyone. I'm brand new to this forum and appreciate any help in advance. I couldn't find this topic, and I'm hoping it's not a duplicate post.

After years of wondering why I've never owned an M3 (wanted once since the E30 launched), I finally bought one last month (2009 M92... see attached). Unfortunately, after driving rather "spiritedly" yesterday, I hit a bump in the road and did a little bit of damage to the lip attached to the felt undercarriage (pic attached). Is this enough damage to warrant a replacement? Or am I fine with this small piece missing?

Thank you! Hopefully I'll see some of you on the track soon and look forward to many years on this forum.

Steve

That's routine stuff for the underside. I swapped to Eibach springs which lowers the front by 1 inch. I have replaced the felt under tray 3 times now in 90K. Watch out for the rubber "seals" becoming unhitched too…..it looks like you ave already lost one I am afraid.

I hope so... I've been a Porsche guy for years. Everything from Boxsters to GT3's. I am VERY impressed with this car. Can't believe I've waiting this long to buy one. I'm not very smart. Can't wait to get it on the track.
