BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

Do You Really Like Your 1-Series Looks?

I've owned my 11 135i 6MT M-Sport since December 2013. It's a GREAT driving and handling car when I'm inside it (a bit cramped for DD though) but, when I look at in my driveway I just can't grow to like it's overall exterior looks. IMO my 135i looks sway-back ,it's not very attractive, and that's why I may sell it soon. That said, do you REALLY like how your 1-Series looks or is it just me? Take to poll above.

One of the best looking cars on the road. Top up or down. Fast! Raced a Brink's truck from a stop light yesterday, beat them easily.

LOL! They are fast, it must have been a Brink's truck that was overweight with $$$!

I have an 09 135i. I LOVE how it looks when i first saw the 120i In the UK. I love the look. its smaller and sleeker. It dosent look like the other BMWs 3,5,7s and the lines really appeal to me. I love looking at it. I really looks fast when parked.

They've grown on me. Definitely goofy-looking from some angles, but I've found that a set of wheels and some other gentle visual mods really can set 'em off.

Perfectly emulates the iconic 2002 and was made to celebrate the car for good reason. The success of the 2002 is the reason for BMW's success. Incidentally, I bought new 1970 2002 which for its time was a very good car.

Also if you don't like the looks of your car why did you buy it? You must have the Geek-a-puke Syndrome!

Yuk yuk!

I don't own a 1-series, but actively looking. Not many come up for sale in Boise. I love the exterior shape. I think the face is particularly attractive. The 1-series reminds me of an old German army helmet--remember Sergeant Schultz on Hogan's Heroes.

Well, I loved mine. The looks are not for everyone, but I saw it's looks as "spunky"... just like the 2002 it was based on. The short rear and long hood mean that the driver sits pretty much dead-center when viewed from the side... and the "face" of the car just begs to be taken out and driven.

My M3, while a very serious and mean looking machine just doesn't look as much fun in my driveway. And truth be told, I love the way it drives and feels but I just never feel like it wants to "play". The 135i is playful.

I do miss my 1'er occasionally, and I used it as a DD. It was utterly perfect for that role. The M3 is overkill for that... a bit big and definitely more powerful than you need in a DD. Still glad I got the M3... but there are times...

In both plain and M guise I'm quite satisfied with the 1er E82 appearance and the performance aspects don't reek either.

Not a fan of the current cookie cutter.............same sausage..........different length concept.

Love it or not the one series will never be mistaken for any other model in the lineup.

Beautiful 1M perhaps I should look for one. BTW, I think the front and rear of a 135 look fine, it's the sway back side that I just can't used to.

I really think the convertible is a great looking car. Particularly with the top down. Not so crazy about the coupe which has a kind of hump-back look to it, to me. The convert is really pretty in Le Mans blue (like mine).

I do. '08 128 Sport Pack, 6MT here. I remember the first one I saw in the wild..it was late '07 and about an hour before I had just bought my CPO '05 E46 from a dealership in Michigan and a 128 passed me on the hiway. I remember thinking "cool car, bit tall and narrow". But the seed was planted..looked at a few over the years and when it came time to part with my E46 about a year and a half ago, I found my CPO 128 at a dealership 5 hrs from where I was living and traded the E46 for it. Couldn't even drive stick at the time so a buddy and I made the trip..he drove it home for me! Grin. Pure joy to look at/drive everyday since.

I still like my 09 135I vert. But that M235i is looking too sweet.

It's called the Bangle Droop, but over time, I've grown quite fond of it!

The 1 Series and 2 Series are both distinctly attractive vehicles in my opinion.

I don't own a 1er, but I'm a big fan and I like the looks. I do think the convertible top looks droopy; not a fan of that. From what I've seen the 2er convertible with the top up has better lines.

The main reason i actually got this car was because i loved the way it looked. With some cosmetic mods, it now looks fantastic. But it has to be white

I've decided to get an 09 128 vert. White with red interior. The pics look amazing but have not seen this color combination in person--not till we go to North Carolina in 2 weeks to inspect this car and hopefully take it home. I'm hoping it looks as sexy in person as in the pics.
