About to pull the trigger, any thoughts?

About to pull the trigger on an 08 M5 Space gray every option available 65k miles, no visible flaws, immaculate.

Ive had 1 PPI done by Phaedrus (Local BMW only shop) and it came back flawless with the exception, needs tires and only 25% left on breaks.
It is going into to BMW dealership today for a second PPI (3rd party warranty suggests Dealership PPI).

I have found out from the maint. recs that the engine was replaced by a foreman at Dealership back in december 2013 due to something, rod or something breaking, can't remember what exactly. So essentially the new motor has 3k miles on it now.

The clutch and smb pump were replaced at the same time. All fluids were changed 1200 miles after replacement of motor.

Im paying $29k for this car probably today. I realize the cost of maintenance on this and have put off buying an M car for quite a few years, but I am finally in a position to handle the costs.
I have a few questions for the group as this is my first M car.

Should I be concerned about the engine replacement?
Am I getting a good price for the car?

Thanks for reading.

I just paid more than that for my 06. I'd say it's probably a good price being an 09 with a new motor. But do a thorough look over and make sure everything is solid given the 2009s are normally in the $40k range

Not sure if you've bought the car yet, but I agree with the other, price seems kinda low for an 09, so do the extra steps to check new engine and if everything checks out, go for it!

The car is an 08 and I have been absolutely loving it.

What Ive done to it so far:
Laser Interceptor
Valentine one
RPI scoops
Black billet grill
interior leds
ESS SMG & ECU tune

It is a monster and a complete pleasure to drive! I had thought I would keep this a few years then get a used m3 but I don't see how I could possibly move down from the M5 to an M3 now. Luxury and complete beastliness, it has it all.

My next car will surely be a used F10 M5!
