e46 passenger window stuck half way

I have a 1992 BMW 318i e46 and the front passenger window has decided to stick half way and will not move - stuck solid and cannot even push it up or down. I am wondering if the left front window switch located in the middle near the automatic gear stick maybe to blame. To test this can I can simply disconnect the right window switch (which works) and see if will operate the left front window. Will this cause a problem? If this doesn't work then I assume it would be the window lift motor which may be the problem. Thanks.

Right Church, wrong pew....if your car is actually a 1992, it`s an E36, not an E46.
An educated guess would be that your window regulator is shot....a very common problem on BMWs. Look on Youtube for various DIY repair videos.

Same answer then as Fast Bob, either the motor is shot and or the window regulator needs replacing. A common occurrence . You will need to remove the inner door panel to inspect.
