Illuminated visor 330Ci? Is there such a thing?

Hi all. My girlfriend bought a 2006 330Ci. She dwells on things that I (or most guys probably) would not dwell on. She thinks the visors are really shoddy. She also can't believe that it is lighted (don't remember if there even is a mirror).

My question is whether there is such a thing? Possibly for another year/model? And if so, would there be wiring in the chassis sitting there for it? I would have thought no, but read somewhere that a lighted mirror for the BMW convertible was possibly an option for the 2006.

Any ideas?

Yes....there`s a mercury switch inside the sliding mirror cover....slide it open, the light comes on.

The E46 sedan, coupe, and wagon have illumination for the vanity mirror. But the light is in the ceiling, not in the sun visor itself. The light is located just above the visor, and illuminates when the visor mirror is opened.

On your girlfriend's convertible, it appears there is no vanity light in the ceiling, nor in the sun visor. You may have to retrofit something from another model.

As others have said, no light on convertible, and yes, the visors have a weird feel. Tell your girlfriend to open the top, everyone knows natural lighting is better than artificial. Problem solved.
