When we ordered our 2015 550i xDrive, it was still there in the ordering guide under 1CC - Automatic Start/Stop Function. They may be using the wrong picture.

I am having a hard time deciding between a 2014 loaded 550i that they discounted substantially, or a new 2015? I am using the vehicle as a company car and really will not be doing any aftermarket mods to it like I would if it were my personal car. It looks like I could do a nicely equipped 215 535i or a fully equipped 2014 550i for about the same price. I will either be buying my car next week or placing the over next week after we close escrow on our new home. Any suggestions?

I'm presuming the company car is a lease so model year doesn't matter. If you don't mind the gas mileage, get a 550i - the power is remarkable. 535i is more efficient and has more balanced handling but the jet engine thrust is missing. Not seeing any advantage in 2015 vs 2014 unless you're buying.

Yes this would be a higher mileage lease at 18k miles and gas is free so the 550i is coming out ahead. It looks like the front and the rear of the 2015 look a little better, the 8 speed transmission and the look of the dash when the car is turned on all seem to be slightly upgraded making the 2015 look more desirable. Something tells me I would be happy in the 2014 550i for 36 months.

Your money factor is up with a lot of signoff money. No security deposits in those $5000 I figure? That's risky and it probably means the dealer cashing in quite a bit in exchange for looking like they gave you a lot off msrp.

You should ask for a specific breakup of those $5000.

My estimate of the invoice on this car is $61,400 (93% on base MSRP, 91% on options), which suggests agreed value is $2700 below invoice.

For a 2014 model where the dealer has a ton of 2014 vehicles to move, that seems like a good deal. Not sure what incentives are active right now -- can you confirm what you're getting?

My view is that all 2014 vehicles should be done at 0.0013 MF. They're are going to be gathering dust soon (if not already). Don't settle for 0.0014.

P.S. I agree that putting $5000 down to bring down your payments is a bad idea and should be generally avoided. Many posts on these forums talk about why. Your best bet from purely a financial perspective is to max out the multiple security deposits and reduce your MF by .0007 x 7 to 0.00049

seems that MY 2015, particularly 50i (N63TU) and probably M5 (S63) engines, will get electronic wastegates insetead of mechanical.

Dinan's hompepage:
"Special Note: The DINANTRONICS Performance Tuner currently only works with vehicles equipped with mechanical wastegates with a production end date of 6/2014. Vehicles with a production of 7/2014 and newer will have a electronic wastegate and will not work with the DINANTRONICS Performance Tuner!

An electronic waste gate version is currently undergoing testing and will be available in the future."

MY 2015. 8-speed Steptronic transmission with proactive drive system.

Hope you are aware of this feature:

A richer experience thanks to intelligent networking: 8-speed Steptronic transmission with proactive drive system.

From the summer of 2014, the new 8-speed Steptronic transmission with a proactive drive system will also be available for the models of the BMW 1 Series, BMW 2 Series, BMW 3 Series, BMW 4 Series and BMW 5 Series. On vehicles equipped with a navigation system, the proactive drive system ensures that the moment to shift gears is precisely adapted to the prevailing driving situation even if the navigation system is not active. The Proactive Driving Assistant works in tandem with the navigation system and “sees” a bend or a roundabout ahead and takes into account turn-offs and motorway exits. If the vehicle is approaching a roundabout or a bend, the transmission automatically changes down to the most appropriate gear, making optimum use of the engine braking effect. Subsequently, the system again shifts to the optimal gear for accelerating out of the bend. Furthermore, unnecessary gearshifts and hunting between bends are avoided through intelligent interaction with the navigation system.

Was at the dealer having my snows put on and looked around bit at some 2015 F10s. If the Nappa is the smooth flat finished leather seats on the M-Sports, I don't care for the appearance. I prefer the pebbled texture of the seats in my 2012 M-Sport.
Also it appears that there is no sport + option on the Drive select, only sport, is this correct?
The 12 M is also better in that it included DDC which adjust suspension firmness along with steering and throttle as part of the package on my 12 M X-Drive. Now it looks like X-drives get the 704 suspension maybe? and DDC is part of a 3k package.

We have Sport+/Sport/Comfort/Comfort+/Eco Pro on our 2015 550i xDrive. Admittedly it is equipped with DHP.

xDrive models do *not* get the M-Sport (704) suspension, only the base xDrive suspension. The only upgrade you can get is DHP (Dynamic Handling Package), which gives you the adaptive suspension and adaptive drive. If you are getting an xDrive F10, do consider getting DHP. It's the best $3500 you can spend on the car - we are so happy with it on our car. There is zero body roll and the suspension is 110% much better than the base xDrive suspension.

They did switch to smooth leather in the 2015 mSport. While overall I love the car, I much prefer the "dimpled" leather in my 2010 Sport (Dakota leather, I believe), which not only was grippier, but felt more substantial.

I do NOT have X-drive or DHP. I do have Sport +, Sport, Comfort, and Eco Pro. Looks like DHP adds a "Comfort +" setting, plus I think you get more controls over what it means to be in Sport. For example, I think you can leave the better throttle response, but keep suspension at the comfort setting.

F10 M Sport has Nappa for Black, Brown (Mocha), and Ivory White. The only Dakota leather they offer is Beige.

Nappa costs more (on EU price lists) and it's generally softer and more refined feeling. Dakota is coarse and rough, and has much more texture.

Be careful which color you pick with Nappa. In the five series, people have noticed that in ivory, the seats don't match the leather on the doors.

Nappa is an optional upgrade if I recall correctly over Dakota.

All,
Need some immediate assistance please with this lease that I want to get in today.

2015 535i
MSRP: $55,600
Additional options (M Sport, Driver Assistance Package, Premium package, Sport auto transmission w/ shift paddles, multi-contour seats, heated front seats, harman pardon, enhance USB/Blutooth)
Options + Destination Charge ($950)
TOTAL SUGGESTED PRICE: $67,225

I am trying to look on the forums for what the INVOICE price is but I cannot locate it.

Should I take the INVOICE prices (once I find it), then add in all the options and destination charge? Then remove the $1000 credit. And use this?

Is the MF: .00130 still?
Residual: 60% still?
I am going to put down 7 MSD's as well, so that should drop the MF to .00081, right?)

Thanks so much for the help!!!!!!

Which dealership are you working with?Have you been in touch with Greg Poland, in Glendale? Or perhaps Jon Shafer in Santa Barbara?

I have a dealer I work with already for the last 5 BMW's i have leased. I always go on these forums to get assistance before I lease again. My problem is that when 3 years are up, i seem to forget everything i learned and became an expert at before! lol.

I am not sure if because it is a 2015 that there is not much info right now on the 535i's?? I just want to make sure that my MF and residual are correct. Usually there is a document that is shared from a dealer listing it all out.

Also, can't find invoice prices anywhere for this model ether. WEIRD.

BMW has clamped down on invoice pricing and leading residual info. It is harder and harder to come by.

One security deposit = 0.00007

Final invoice = ~ 0.91 of final MSRP

How much down are you putting? What is the adjusted capitalization cost? What is the dealer's acquisition fee?

Residuals are a function of model year, mileage, time of lease period, and the percentages are revised monthly by BMWNA.

What kind of discount you are getting now? I am negotiating car 535 with MSRP $67,225. What sales price should I expect?
Dealer also pushes me to 39months lease. Any opinion on this long lease?
