Brake Light came on today
My brake light came on today. How much longer before I need to change my brakes?

I would say the sooner, the better. Lets say that the front sensor has been triggered. The warning sensor is only monitoring one of the pads. Pads don't always wear evenly. It is possible that one of the 3 other pads is more worn than the one that the sensor is attached to. If so, you may be very close to metal to metal contact.

Mine came on the other day, too. I was suprised as I only have 18k on the car. Dealer said one should not go more than about another 500 miles or so before having the brakes serviced.
