Hail Damage

I have a few dents on my roof and a couple on the hood. They are the size of a penny. How much do you guys think it would cost to repair it on a 2008 bmw 335xi. I'm trying to decide if I should file a claim to insurance since I have a 500 deductible.

Research for trusted local paintless dent repair shops and then have the car evaluated. Once you have their estimate(s) you can decide whether to pay out of pocket or deal with insurance. Since this is a comprehensive claim it shouldn't affect your insurance rate.

If you exceed your deductible, it will be by very little, if at all. Services like these usually get a bit cheaper "per unit" when doing bulk. It's hard to capture dents on camera according to my PDR guy because the camera doesn't know where to focus, but they appreciate the pics anyway via email. Give that a shot.

edit x2: brain fart... deductible is per incident, right?....

Yeah, even if it will run around $500 it's not worth it. Even though insurance doesn't really count it against you, it still gets put on your record. Deductible is per incident as far as I know.
