crazy but anyone paint or repair interior from wear?

I hate to even think of even painting my interior but i need some guidance. The back area of my center console where the rear vents and controls are is wearing off. The interior is a light gray and i can see white under the coloring around the vents where its wearing off.
Any suggestions? maybe a color pen or marker? I hate to think about painting it but want to make it look better than it is.

My wife has the car and will post pics when she returns home later.
Thanks

I got lucky! I happened to have a can of grey satin in my garage for plastic and such! Matched perfectly. Will take an after pic when it dries! Took all of 15 minutes! Taping was the hard part

What, exactly, did you use? This looks like my color and paint problem.
Thanks!

Thank you!

I appreciate that lightning-fast response. I just blew $50+ this weekend with Color Bond. Good stuff but nothing near my color.

I used SEM auto interiror paint to touch up my door arm rest along with Bull Frog prep spray. This is a common automotive product.

you can search my name on the e60 forum where I posted some pics too. Prep work is the key.
