2008 E90 328xi throttle pedal free range......

Hi there:
I just bought a 6-year old 328xi with 64000 miles on it, everything looks fine except that throttle pedal reacts a little bit different from all cars I drove before. It has pretty long free range until I hit a certain point does the engine start to output. Is it normal?

Yes this is normal. It seems to be how BMW has programmed the throttle. Assuming it's an automatic... When you put it into "DS" you'll notice that the throttle will respond more like other vehicles you've driven. It's something you'll get used to it pretty quick.
