Clock will not stay set

I have a 2008 335xi and every time I turn the engine off I have to reset the clock. I was wondering if a weak battery could be the cause? I have not changed the battery since I bought the car new. Anyone have any experience with this?

Yes, someone has experienced that. Usually just before battery replacement, PDQ!

It does not happen every time....but occasionally I get in the care and have to reset the clock. I thought replacing the battery would eliminate the problem.....but EVEN AFTER getting the new battery it is still happening......thoughts anyone? Thanks.

I would get a new battery asap. It is a classic warning sign, and the battery will just quit on you one day w/o any more warnings. N4S

Yes, battery was registered and verified to ensure that it has a full charge

Well, did you check the battery condition yesterday or today?

HERE

Mileage?

Charging system health?

When did clock resets begin again?
