help, I need to know if my stealership I lyeing to me about my headlight.
I purchased a CPO 2011 335 xi about a month ago. So after I picked up my car I took my GF out to diner, when we were driving home I noticed the passenger side head light was pointing right in front of the car, not casting very high up. Normally I would just fix this my self but I had to bring the car back to have a hole in drivers carpet, a chip in the windshield fixed and the alignment done. CPOed my ass, they didn't check shi*t. So I got the car back a couple days later and they told me the bulb sometimes pops lose and that's why it was pointing so far down.
Has anyone heard of this?
I have been having a hard time seeing at night, my lights weren't pointed high enough, so I did the rule of thumb adjusting the headlight, 25 feet away the headlights should point the same height as the are on the car. let me tell you, they were way off. So I adjusted the drivers side, all good. I went to adjust the passenger side, the same side that head the problem, and the height adjusting screw doesnt work. no up/down when I turn it. so what I think these jerkys did was adjust the drivers side down to match the droopy passengers side. I looked what how the bulb is in there and it doesnt look like it would be doing any sort of poping out. check out this video, at about 4:20 you can see him take out the bulb. he even says" you have to push down quite hard.
