E82 / E87 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

E93 M3 rear swaybar upgrade on 08 E82

Hi all, I am upgrading the sway bars as well as body bushings and suspension links in my 08 135i to M3 status and on the rear sway bar, that fits an E93 convertible, the bushings from BMW seem way to small for the bar. I ordered the parts from a local performance garage that got them from the local BMW dealer. I took bar and bushings to the dealer and they are stumped. Has anyone done this conversion?
bar # 33-55-2-283-962 with bushings # 33-55-2-283-709 & -710 ??
It fits on paper but in reality the bushings would have to compress over 10mm all the way around. My fear is to snap or strip bolt tightening it up. The bushings will not "snap" into clamps. Unfortunately I was told to drill bushings out to fit by someone. Not on a BMW, is my standing.
Thanks in advance,
