Rear Tire Dust

I am a newbie to this site. I am also a newbie in owning a 1998 M3. Since I bought it 3 weeks ago, I am trying to "unwind" several incorrect mods the previous owner made. It starts with either tire or brake dust all over the rear quarters and back of the car. I changed both rear calipers and pads, and took out the incorrect after market springs and installed OEM M3 springs. Still have the dust, but not as much. I have new lower control arm bushing to install before getting it aligned. Am I on the right track? Any ideas are aprreciated.

He may have been running a *race* compound pad..
may account for the heavy dust(?)

Sounds like your doing good work..
Take off the crap.. fix the "mods" and make it function how it should.

Check for exhaust leak near the muffler too..

cheers! keep up the good work!
