I have a Palm Pre, and it was a piece of cake to sync it with my just recently purchased CPO 2007 530i over BT.
Haven't tried all the other options yet, but making/receiving calls, and seeing your phone's address book in iDrive works really well.

Hi all, first post here. Just waiting to hear if my purchase of a 2004 545i SE with Nav will go through.

Without trawling through all the 45 pages - it seems there is a variance to which bluetooth devices are supported etc, based also on the different I Drive version that the car has. Looks like iDrive update is basically a no go .... can anyone tell me if they have the 2004 CCC with Nav system working with Iphone 3GS or Blackberry Bold 9000 / 9700 and to what level?

blackberry tour works fine

I have a Blackberry 8330 and it works perfect in my 2005 525I

I had posted earlier that my Blackberry Tour (verizon) was wreaking havoc when I tried to pair it... anyway, the car's at the dealer right now getting sat radio installed and they told me that it looks like the software is wayyyyy out of date and they're updating everything. Hopefully that takes care of it as I see plenty of people on here that are having no problems with the Tour.

Service rep said the software installed would take approx 13 hours? does that sound right? whatever... as long as it works, I'm fine. The beat to hell x3 loaner they gave me is putting me to sleep though! fun little ride, and I do like the panoramic roof, but I miss my 5... sorry, off topic!

I just bought an 05 545i. Will my Blackberry Tour 9630 work in it?

I don't see my phone (HTC Incredible) on the BMW cell phone validation list. This is not surprising since it just came out but it doesn't pair with my 2006 BMW M3. I had successfully paired my previous bluetooth-enabled phone with my car but now it just searches and searches and ... Do I need to get some software update from the dealer? The Motorola Droid is on the BMW validated list so I took the leap of faith. Any suggestions on my next step?

My Droid Incredible works perfectly on my 2010 550i. Immediately connects as soon as I start the car and immediately disconnects when I stop the engine. I'm only using place/receive calls and the address book, though.

Immediately as in instantly? Wow! My Droid also works perfectly, but it takes about two minutes for the bluetooth to sync up.

Greetings. I have a Blackberry 8830 and it paired easily and voice dialing works fine with my 2010 528xi. BUT - A QUESTION! Who has figured out how to send additional digits DURING a phone call (not call a third party or conference)?? My office voice mail requires that after the system answers (1) I send my extension, (2) I send my passcode, (3) I send a couple digits each time I want to move from one message to the next, delete, repeat, forward, dial an extension in the office, etc. I can do all that fine on my Acura MDX ('05) by just pressing the voice button and saying "send ****". I cannot find any instructions for doing this on the BMW. Any ideas?

I presume you're asking about the iPhone 4. No problems.

I don't know if BMW needs to come out with a new software update and/or Palm needs to do a firmware update for the phone. I set up my BlackBerry Bold 9700 to auto dial my office voicemail. I used the #2 speed dial, entered the phone number for voicemail, then hit the menu button. The menu brings up the options to enter a pause or a wait. I used a pause. As soon as the voicemail answers I just hit the scroll pad and the next set of digits get "typed" automatically. That finishes the sequence and I can then listen to, delete, save, all the voicemails using the normal options. It is very easy to set up and use. And I am listening to the whole thing through the Bluetooth in the car while it is dialing. There may be other ways but this works.

My moto droid also sycs immediately to my 2008 335i. All other functions work perfectly

I have not been getting notices when my phone collects a test/aim. I'm okay with that though, not a huge deal. Ease of use is good, though I have had to re-pair it once or twice for no apparent reason.

Sprint Epic 4G works perfectly in my 2010 535i right down to uploading the complete contact list!

Can anyone give me instructions on how to upload my contacts from an iphone 3gs to my 08 535I? It's probably easy but a little help would be appreciated.
