I just bought a LG Ally and it works great. As always easy to pair.

Sprint's Samsung Moment. It worked well on my prior 2006 330i, and when I tried to initially pair it on the 2008 550i, it wouldn't take. Eventually tried it about a dozen time over the last few days since buying the car, and then it finally worked today. It did bring in my address book. That's about as far as I got in terms of testing it.

The mobile was able to sync my contact list, but it seems to be missing some numbers. I haven't had time to test the verbal dialing. I'm still learning how to use all of the features in the car. I've only had it for 8 days.

Please post your experience:

No issues with my BlackBerry 9700 from AT&T. Works like a champ on my 2007 550 and took only a matter of minutes to pair up with the car.

So I just got my car back from the dealer and they told me that the "unapproved" phone I have (the Droid Incredible) could void the warranty on the car. They said the phone could damage some sort of control unit, and it would not be covered under warranty. My device works pretty well, with 90% of the contacts being transferred. Anyone know anything about this?

iPhone4 - Bluetooth drops

Works great 90% of the time - but sometimes I get in the car and the phone never connects to the car. Power off the phone and restart it - then always connects and works fine.
Not sure what this is all about - but has done it on OS version 4.0 and now 4.1.

Anyone else with this issue?

Update: 6 years later, I can confirm that this never happened. I still have my Treo 650, and it won't synch with my '07 530xi. You can still use the Bluetooth.

Nokia 97

I've tried pairing my phone to the car's bluetooth and at times it works but man...sometimes it just doesn't work and I have to uninstall and then reinstall everything on the car as well as on my phone all over again! For the first time last week it pulled up all of my contacts and did a beautiful job of calling from the car without me having to use my phone!!!! Love it when it works and frustrated when it doesn't. But this system is very slow to connect. Is there like an update that we could do on the bluetooth software?

Sony Compatible Phone

I'm using a W508 Sony. It works great with my 2007 530i. Very happy with it; even though it's a fairly simple phone. iPhones work well also. Beware of SAMSUNGS! They can apparently crash your display.

The Android even has a neat feature that reverts to phone from handsfree mode if you want to talk privately.

Blackberry Bold 9650

Had my other blackberry stolen on vacation. Just got the Bold 9650 and wondering if others know if this model will synch to my 2010 E60? Can't find the website to inquire about compatability. My other blackberry worked great in the car. Thanks in advance-
