Cat litter odor removal

What's the best way to remove cat little odor from the leather seats? My 07 328i I just bought a month ago got that smell from the previous owner (actually I'm the 4th), I tried several types of car fresheners, pine, lemon - they just make the odor more pronounced (it's a cocktail of cat+lemon now)
I didn't mind it when I drove it at first, I kind of liked it until my wife told me it's cat litter odor.

I also left the windows rolled down during several nights but didn't help much.

Could try this stuff:

I used it for quite a while, always thought it smelled really nice after a treatment.

Sort of British Royal Navy Flag Officer's Club meets Pebble Beach Concours.

Unless the previous owner really collected cats, might check that the AC evaporator drain is clear.

Thank you all for your replies. I shall give one of the two options a try and see if it helps. I don't think it could be an air filter problem as I can smell the odor with the engine/AC turned off.

I can't recommend anything that will remove odors from leather/carpet/other fabrics, but I can recommend something that will mask the smell.

Ozium. It's a air sanitizer and it works great.

Might want to try using ozone. You can rent ozone generators. Ozone tends to destroy odors instead of masking them.

OZone generators are good for scrubbing smells out of air particles but if the odors are trapped in leather/fabric, you need a solution to pull that odor out and then destroy it

True. I should have qualified it with one has to remove the source of the odor. Which raises the question: How did the previous owner get this smell in the vehicle? Were they carrying large amounts of cat litter around?
