New water pump doesn't bleed

Changed water pump and thermostat on E90 , followed bleed procedure and pump doesn't come on. Is there a fuse somewhere that I may be missing?

Can you tell us how you are activating the bleed procedure in case that is the issue.

On mine, I put the key in the slot (even though I don't normally need to) push the start button with my foot not on the brake, then move both driver and passenger temp to max setting (84F) and then move the fan speed to low (1 bar), then floor the gas peddle and leave it there for 10 seconds until the pump comes on.

On mine if I close the door it will stop, so when I start it, I get out and leave the door open for the 10-12 minutes.

Not sure where the pump fuse is - someone else can maybe chime in on that, are you sure you have the pump harness plugged into the pump fully?

Rob

New Water Pump

RoadKillRob,,You were right on, The pump harness wasn't all the way in. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I had thought about that but didn't want to take the splash guard off again. When you posted, it confirmed what I was thinking so under the car and with a cordless drill it was a quick job. Thanks again.
