Question new guy! lowering help!

hey guys, so i just got my 2007 e90 rwd, and planning to get bc racing coilovers next week.
i was wondering what is needed when lowering, other then alignement?

Alignment yes and possibly a camber kit. Experts correct me if I'm wrong.

some guy told me he needed adjustable front link kits for the front? he has a e92 328ix.

If you have a car past 75k miles, I would replace all the mounts as well so you don't have to change them later down the road....at least for another 60k+ miles. These would be the front strut hats and the rear, upper and lower shock mounts.

You don't need adjustable endlinks unless you want to remove sway bar pre-load and your lowering the car extremely low. On a street vehicle, you won't notice pre-load enough to need adjustable links.

that same guy told me he had to changed his front link because the "ball" part where is bolts up was too big and preventing him from go low

Well I'm on the lowest setting for my H&R coilovers and I've been using stock end links since 82k miles. I have 108k miles now. No issues.

I'm about 2 and 1/2" to 3" off the ground.

I do have pre-load in my sway bar, but it's something I'm willing to live with for now as I upgrade other parts of my suspension.
