This is because the ED invoice price is lower, even if the car is coming out of normal allocations.

I did a 7/1 ED on an F80 and picked it up here in FL on 8/9. Bought my car at $1k under ED MSRP. Deal was negotiated way back in January and order placed on the day the order bank opened. Never was a question of if Euro Delivery pricing would be honored.
My dealer charges 2k over the ED invoice, which is a great deal here in SO CAL

That's a hell of a deal almost anywhere right now. If that's the deal you got for your car, then

Happy to say deal was struck this weekend on a new M3 for ED with the only dealer in the area willing to even consider ED (BMW Northwest in Tacoma). So far they have been great to work with. I'll post a report card once the whole process is done. Now the countdown until November and our trip to Germany!

I appreciate everyone's input!

I'm looking hard at a new M3, and am seriously considering pursuing the ED option. However, I just got an email from my local dealer saying "the M3 is not available for European Delivery". This seems like total BS to me - can anyone confirm or deny? If so, what would be their reason for telling me this??

Thanks in advance.

I would also like to do ED for an M3, and am glad to see that there are dealers willing to do ED invoice + $2,000. Thanks!
