2008 335xi code reader

so my service light came on and the dealership wants 145 to read the codes aka robbery lol anybody have one that works on the 08?

Generic readers only scan the DME and cannot pull shadow faults or BMW specific faults.

There are multiple other modules in the car that store faults.....

On my last BMW (1998 528i), I bought a reader from bavauto.com, Bavarian Auto Works, specifically for BMW. A little pricey but worth it.

You have the option of a BavTech Tool too.

More user friendly versus the coding cable/BMW Standard Tools.
